Hello COAP members,
Happy Friday!
We would like to share our interview with Cheryl from Life On Wheels.
You may have see the article we did on her amazing work in the valley around the street addiction problems in our first edition of Westward Independent.
Cheryl is a kind, no-nonsense type of woman, who has created a the beginning of an initiative she hopes to grow to become a self sustaining program , like Volken Academy in Vancouver. Eventually this program will help from stage one ( detox), all the way through to long term rehabilitation.
Cheryl and her team will not take a dime from the Government as she knows it comes with strings she is not willing to abide by. She depends on the kindness of strangers for money and volunteer hours, though she has invested plenty of her own time and money. If you would like to help, her contact information is at the end of the video.
We hope you enjoy this 30 min interview with a wonderful woman in our community.
( We have shared with North Cowichan Council as well)
Have a wonderful weekend
Sincerely,
COAP team
